Lawmakers Tuesday upbraided national financial regulators for exonerating local firms from their responsibilities for accounting frauds committed in the past in exchange for a mere voluntary confession.

Policymakers of the National Assembly’s National Policy Committee Tuesday reprimanded the Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) and the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) for dismissing corporations’ past financial irregularities.
