Nearly 60 per cent of Australian businesses still lack adequate risk management and training, according to a spot poll of 50 top 100 Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) and government organisations conducted by Deloitte last week.

Looking on the bright side, Australian financial institutions “benchmarked well globally” when it came to market, credit and liquidity risk, rating their risk management processes as very effective (70–80 per cent), said Franks.
Most institutions also increased their focus on risk management and lifted responsibility to board-level, Franks said, with 70 per cent of boards overseeing risk management, up from 59 per cent in 2004 and 57 per cent in 2002.

役員レベルでリスクマネジメントの重要さや、リスクを選定して対策を練るのは役員の責任だという認識は２００２年の行われた調査では５７％だったのが、２００４年の調査では７０％に上がった。。。
同じ調査を日本で行ったら、一体どの位の割合になるのかな。
